Peach and Apricot BBQ sauce
Every Christmas Jamie and I make our families baskets of homemade foods and other surprises. Its always a big random assortment of DIY projects we've taken on during the year. My brother Mike and his girlfriend Jessica are especially enthusiastic about them, and its really the highlight of my holiday to watch them dig in.
This year I decided I would make it BBQ themed. I made 3 different sauces: Honey Garlic, Peach and Apricot BBQ sauce, and a Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. I also made long stemmed sauce mops, painted brushes, and added a really cute cow shaped cutting board for serving.

Recipe for Peach and Apricot BBQ sauce

Directions
Makes about 3L of sauce for preserving
- Slice and roast peaches and apricots (skin on) at 400 degrees till edges start to brown and fruits are soft
- In a large pot, sauté the chopped onions till soft and slightly caramelized (make sure the pot can hold at least 3L of sauce)
